There are many good reasons to join a support group

Support groups offer a way for people who are caring for loved ones with Alzheimer's to meet each other, share information, and talk about emotions and problems related to caregiving. One of the time-tested ways people cope with the challenges of caring, support groups offer the emotional support of friends who understand what they are going through. Monthly meetings are also a way to problem solve and to learn how others approach similar situations. All Alzheimer's Association support groups are led by a trained facilitator and there is never a charge to join.

The Alzheimer's Association has many support groups, meeting at various times and locations. Check to see if there is a group close to you that fits your needs.  For more information, please call Judy Budlong at 817-336-4949 or email

The telephone support group is designed to provide the caregiver opportunities for sharing, education, and support through a telephone conference. Telephone support group participants and a telephone support group facilitator connect with each other for one-hour sessions twice per month. Space is limited and participants will be added as a slot is available.
