In almost 40 years of performing there have been very few times when the event was as important to me as I thought my performance could be to the event. The short performance for the Alzheimer’s Association allowed me to tell a bit of my own personal story in dealing with my Mother’s current condition. In a big way it was healing for me to revisit my own awakening to dementia and Alzheimer’s. Thank you for including me in your evening.
P.S. I’ve recorded a new spiritual CD in which I took my 83 year old mother into the studio and had her sing a verse of my song. The album is called “I Believe”. It will only be available on my website.
