50 Hour Dementia Care Training For Professionals

This is a one day per week session for seven weeks, free of charge.  Trainees meet from 9:30 am-4:30 pm at the Alzheimer’s Association, New York City Chapter.

This training prepares home care workers in all aspects of Alzheimer’s and dementia care.

Topics include:

  • Understanding the disease process
  • Communication
  • A positive approach
  • Person centered care
  • Home safety
  • Behavior challenges
  • Meaningful activities
  • Family interactions
  • Cultural awareness
