Volunteer Engagement Opportunities Download Volunteer Interest Form Ways You Can Help Services and EducationIf you have a professional background in health care, social services, marketing, public relations, or accounting, your expertise can enhance the quality of our chapter programs and services. You can help develop and/or implement events and programs such as public awareness campaigns, speakers' bureaus, Helpline, support groups for individuals with early-stage Alzheimer's, care coordination, and education and training programs. Development If working behind the scenes is your preference, we have many opportunities for you to consider including data management, donor relations and special events preparations. Maybe you'd rather engage your family, friends, co-workers or church group in organizing a third party fund drive like a penny collection or garage sale. There are a number of options - we can work together to find one that you will enjoy. Call Mallory at 949.757.3705. Advocacy Help shape laws at the federal, state, or local level by communicating Association positions to legislators and educating them about related issues. Association advocates have helped raise government funds for Alzheimer research and improved access to long-term care for persons in their communities. Call Patty at 949.757.3713. Board Service Support our local chapter or the national office by playing a leadership role in the work of the Association. We benefit from every nature of expertise from matters strategic, financial, program development, public relations or fund-raising. Call Jim at 949.757.3715. Memory Walk Volunteers are needed to help with everything from event logistics, refreshments and entertainment to community outreach, guest hospitality, teams and corporate recruitment.
