Art Engagement Programs

A number of our partners throughout Pennsylvania have art engagement programs available through interactive gallery tours facilitated by trained docents or volunteers for individuals with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias, their families and professional caregivers. The goal of such programs is to make art accessible to people living with dementia by exploring what they see in art and what memories the art may invoke in them. While many will not remember their visit to the gallery, most will find joy in the moment of viewing the art.

Current opportunities with gallery partners include the Maslow Study Gallery at Marywood University, the Carnegie Museum of Art and the Andy Warhol Museum/ADRC.
