Are you:
  • A nursing student looking to incorporate information on Alzheimer’s disease into your curriculum?

  • An administrator seeking entry-level nurses for positions in your care facility?

  • An administrator seeking nurses who learned about Alzheimer’s disease as part of their baccalaureate education?

  • A faculty member of a baccalaureate nursing program looking for instructional material on Alzheimer’s disease?

As our population ages, health care professionals must be increasingly knowledgeable about Alzheimer’s disease. As leaders in health care and caregiver education, nurses play a pivotal role in caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and their families.

The Alzheimer’s Association has contributed material on caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease to the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing’s curriculum guide, Best Nursing Practices in Care for Older Adults. This curriculum is available to nursing schools and is being promoted for use nationwide by all baccalaureate nursing programs. To find out how your local college or university can obtain and use the curriculum, e-mail the Hartford Institute at hartford.ign@nyu.edu.
