Whether you are a senior center director, a direct care staff member at a facility, or a nurse at hospice, this conference is for you. Currently there are 5 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s and that number is increasing. Our senior network must adapt to serve people of all ages and all stages. This conference will help you learn how to improve your care and services for this growing population and help us as a community to work collaboratively to provide the best care network possible.
Who Should Attend
- Senior Care Professionals, Clergy, Community Leaders - Our hope this year is to also include people who work with seniors who may have dementia but don’t see themselves as “dementia experts.”
- Professionals in the Long-term Care Continuum - Nurses, Social Workers, Administrators, Activity Professionals (we will be offering CEs for these professionals) and all related staff who want to learn more and network with others in the field.
- Hospital and Acute Care Center Staff - Key group serving persons throughout all ages and stages of dementia.
- Direct Care Workers (Aides, Activity Aids, STNAs) -This year, the organization that sends the greatest number of direct care workers will receive a certificate of acknowledgement, a small article in the newsletter, and two hours of complimentary in-service training for their organization.
