Dinner and keynote address
Keynote speaker Mike McCurry, former White House Press Secretary
and veteran of multiple national elections, shared his views
on the 2008 Presidential election and gave tips on meeting
our goal of making Alzheimer's disease a national priority.
During the dinner, Judy Buchanan from the Association’s
Greater Illinois Chapter was presented with the 7th Annual
Maureen Reagan Outstanding Advocate Award.
In recognition of Maureen Reagan’s exceptional contributions
to advocacy and to honor her legacy, the Maureen Reagan Outstanding
Advocate Award is presented annually to an extraordinary advocate
from an Alzheimer’s Association chapter. The 2008 nominees
included:
