About us

The Alzheimer’s Association - Rhode Island Chapter 
The Rhode Island Chapter provides education, personal support and advocacy around key issues of concern to those persons in RI affected by AD and related disorders. Although the Chapter is affiliated with the National Alzheimer's Association, it is supported solely by donations from individuals as well as by public and private foundation grants.


Our mission
To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

Our vision
A world without Alzheimer's disease.

Financial information

The Rhode Island Chapter is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donor-supported organization. Programs and services are made possible through contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations. The chapter uses 76%  funds raised for programs, services and research efforts.

The Rhode Island Chapter is a private, non-profit organization that was started in 1989 by local family caregivers and health care professionals.
