Family as a Caregiving Team: Strength-based Approaches to Managing Family Dynamics

Participants will be able to:
1) Assess a family to identify its collective strengths and resources
2) Develop a plan for a priority-driven "family" caregiving approach
3) Identify at least two ways to approach conflict resolution in a family

Dr. Podgorski earned her Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Rochester in 1990, an M.S. in Community Health Services from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Rochester. She is the principle or co-author of over 16 academic journal articles, with a focus on geriatrics, mental health, addictions, and wellness.
