Caring for an elderly relative or friend can be a personal or family challenge filled with questions, concerns, anxiety and confusion. It can also be a wonderful journey into family caregiving that ultimately brings peace, joy and satisfaction.

Caregiver Support Services, a program of the Alzheimer's Association, is the offical Caregiver Resource Center for Monroe County.

Educational Seminars
Comprehensive Caregiver Education Series
Three, four or six week programs for caregivers of older adults
Taught by experts in their fields
Topics include: Caregiving, Long-term Care, Communication, Advance Planning

Caregiver Seminars on Individual  Aspects of Aging
One-hour workshops for non-professional caregivers on a variety of topics.

Workplace Seminars for Employed Caregivers
Educational caregiver series from three to six sessions.
Taught by experts in their fields.

Seminars are facilitated through the Learning Institute™ of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Information & Assistance
Information about caregiving and to referrals to community resources.
Assistance in developing a plan to meet  your  loved one’s needs.

Resource Information
Caregiver Resource Library
Informative, instructive caregiving books, videos for lending or purchase.
Caregiving magazines, newsletters and articles are also available.

Resource Guide for Planning the Care of Aging Loved Ones©
Contains easy to use information for the caregivers of older adults.
