Our special events provide critical funding to support our services, programs, education, advocacy and research efforts. They also offer a rewarding engagement opportunity for donors, volunteers and sponsors.
| Join us on June 21, 2013 for The Longest Day® , as together we honor those living with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers. Organize a team for this sunrise-to-sunset event and raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
This event is about patience, strength and endurance – but it’s also about a challenge. On The Longest Day, do something you love – or try something new – to advance the cause! For people facing Alzheimer’s disease, this challenge is every day. For you, it’s just one. On The Longest Day, it’s time to make a difference. |

Memories in the Making Art Auction
We are still basking in the afterglow of a wonderful evening of art, laughter and heartfelt support from you and many others at the 2013 Memories in the Making Art Auction. More than 250 guests enjoyed watching a lively bidding war between San Diego philanthropists Darlene Shiley and John Hawkins; Darlito cocktails, which were created in honor of our event Founding Chair, and a moving speech from Reagan/Thal Award winner Gail Levin. And of course a roomful of beautiful art created by Alzheimer’s and professional artists.
Together we raised more than $155,000 in support of local programs to help the more than 60,000 San Diegans living with Alzheimer’s disease today!
