A diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or another dementia is life changing and raises a lot of questions and emotions. It can leave the person with the disease feeling isolated and unsure of where to turn for information and support.

The Alzheimer's Association wants you to know that you are not alone! Let's work together to plan, prepare, find support and live your life after diagnosis.

One of the best tools out there is our special website center developed with input from individuals living with Alzheimer's.

The South Carolina Chapter is also working to develop early stage programming -- but we need to hear from YOU so that we can provide services where you are! If you are living with early stage dementia, please contact us at 800-272-3900 or alzsc@alz.org.

Connections Events
In the Upstate, we are pleased to offer a monthly social group is for individuals in the early stages of Alzheimer's or a related dementia or with memory impairment, along with their care partners. Please join us for this one-of-a-kind group to connect with others in your community! Along with different monthly activities, there will be information available and support as needed.

Clemson Botanical Garden
Thursday, September 28, 1-4 PM

Take a trip with us! Space is limited!!!! MUST RSVP! Seating is LIMITED!
Meet at  County Square at 1pm we will take a shuttle to Clemson’s Botanical Garden.
Admission to the garden sponsored by Clemson Downs.

Fall Foliage Walk at Paris Mountain
Friday, October 13, 2-3 PM

2401 State Park Rd, Greenville 
The weather is cool...the leaves are changing colors...
come stroll around the pond with us and take in the beautiful Fall scenery!
Snacks and water provided by Spring Park Assisted Living and Memory Care in Travelers Rest.

Greenville Zoo Trip
Tuesday, October 24, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM

150 Cleveland St, Greenville
Please join us for a fun day at the zoo! We will be taking it easy on the wild side!
If you cannot walk the entire zoo; no worries! Just come on out for some fun!!
Snacks and water provided by Greenville's Meals On Wheels. 
The zoo entry fee will be paid for ComFor Care Home Care.
