Alzheimer's Association offering Reedsburg hours
The South Central Wisconsin Chapter now offers office hours at the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center on the first and third Wednesdays of the month, thanks to the success of Memory Walk and a three-year Healthier Wisconsin Grant from the Helen Bader Foundation.

Most are unaware of heart health, dementia link
Darryl White, program participant and volunteer with the Alzheimer's Association's Early Stage Taskforce (both in Madison and nationally), talks to USA TODAY about his early-stage Alzheimer's disease. White, who is African-American, wishes he had taken earlier steps to reduce his risk of developing diabetes, high blood pressure or clogged arteries -- one-third of black Americans reported having a diagnosis of high blood pressure and about one in five say they have high blood cholesterol.
