Register for the Safe Return® Identification Program for Free by May 31, 2008
The Alzheimer's Association, Southeast Florida Chapter is working to save lives through its Safe Return® Program. This program assists in the safe return of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia who wander from safety into harm’s way. The campaign kicked off on November 1 with the goal of registering 5,000 people for the Safe Return® program by May 31, 2008. Each registrant will be provided with an identification bracelet and 24-hour support service. If the registered person becomes lost, the caregiver calls the national 1-800 number to activate an effective local search and rescue plan that involves the local authorities, the local Alzheimer’s Association chapter, the local press and the national Association. An electronic flier with a photo is generated within minutes, and contact with the caregiver is constant. Please register your loved one today for the Safe Return® Program. If you have any questions, please contact Ellen May at (561) 842-8383 x 205. Safe Return® Identification Program Registration Locations St. Lucie County
