We're here for you from the beginning.

Have you or a loved one recently been diagnosed with or exhibiting signs of memory loss? The Alzheimer's Association Southeast Florida Chapter is here for you with the resources and support needed to navigate this difficult journey. We offer educational programs, support groups, and social and recreational programs. Below is a listing of our current offerings. EARLY STAGE SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS

A Time to Talk: Don’t Face This Alone
Sign up for our TIME TO TALK telephone reassurance program and connect with others who have also been recently diagnosed.
You will be assigned a mentor who will call you weekly. Your mentor will help you identify community resources, prepare for and cope with life changes, and help you build a supportive network of friends. Brain Boosters
Join us for fun and interactive cognitive stimulation activities. These activities are geared toward individuals who have recently been diagnosed with a memory disorder and/or those in the early stages, and designed to enhance cognitive processes. Pre-screening and registration is required. Call Jamie Brodarick at 1-800-272-3900 or email at jbrodarick@alz.org.

Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens

This is a three part therapeutic outdoor program that gives early stage individuals and their caregivers an opportunity to tour a serene nature preserve and reflect upon life experiences, leading to new insights and improving your quality of life. Green Cay Walking Tour

Croquet Outing
National Croquet Center

Cooking Class

Join us for a fun and informative hands-on cooking class. We will eat the meal we prepare. The cost is $5 per person.

Alzheimer's Association Southeast Florida Chapter in partnership with The Palace presents a FREE educational program for persons recently diagnosed and their care-partners. If you or your loved one has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia and you're looking for information, guidance, or resources to help you cope with the diagnosis - we can help! (Continental Breakfast & Lunch will be provided courtesy of The Palace)

EARLY STAGE SUPPORT GROUPS

Early Stage Support Groups are groups created for both the person in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease, or those with Mild Cognitive Impairment, and their caregivers. Groups are given at the same time and location with two different facilitators. Please note that these groups require screening prior to attending.
