Books Videos

The Chapter is pleased to offer a variety of books and videos that can be helpful to those dealing with Alzheimer's disease. This online catalog contains book and video titles from our Chapter Resource Center, arranged by either alphbetically or by category with annotated topic(s) to further assist in selecting items of interest. The four branch offices have some of these holdings and some different ones as well.  (We plan to specify those in a future website edition.)

If you are interested in checking out a book or video, or coming to the office to browse, we ask that you call (757) 459-2405 to be sure the library space will be open at the time you are coming (we sometimes hold meetings there) or to verify that a specific item is available .   Items can be signed out for two weeks at a time; prompt return helps keep the circulation going!

In the Chapter library, the books are shelved by category and the videos by title. Both the books and videos are color coded to the relevant Category, to ease browsing and shelving.  We hope you will find the catalog a useful tool for accessing the wonderful resources available.  Please email Carol Gurioli (carol.gurioli@alz.org) with any questions,  feedback, or to submit a review of a book or video for publication in our quarterly newsletter.
