The chapter recently completed another exciting and successful Memory Walk season! A total of 10 walks were held in the 7,400 square mile area the chapter serves, bringing together 259 teams and 1,940 family members and friends of those battling Alzheimer’s. Registrants ranged in age from a few months old to 93 years of age, symbolizing an increasingly prevalent message that Alzheimer’s affects the entire family.

Remember, although our Memory Walk season occurs in the fall, Memory Walk is a year-round fundraising event. Planning is already underway for 2009 and many opportunities are available for you to recommit yourselves to the cause. Because of your concern, participation, and ability to raise crucial funds, great strides have been made in research and care directives. Unfortunately, an unprecedented number of individuals are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. There’s still much to be done. Join to MOVE to End Alzheimer’s and register early for Memory Walk 2009.
