Peninsula Honda donated a 2010 Honda Fit towards the Memory Walk 2010 Season!
About 25 people showed up to Peninsula Honda on Saturday, October 30 with high hopes that their ticket would be chosen out of the over 11,000 that were sold. The Memory Walk 2010 Regional Sponsor, BayPort Credit Union, was on site to oversee the gaming process. Anticipation built as onlookers dined on pizza and sodas.
In the end, Patricia Barry; a retired Geriatrician from Glouster Point was the 2010 Honda Fit winner. Rona Altshculer; this year's Peninsula Walk Chair called Patricia who was at home and utterly surprised at her good fortune. She and her husband drove the hour to the car dealership where papers were signed, photographs taken, and away the Barry's went with their new car.

Thank you to everyone who sold and purchased tickets for this year's raffle. Through your efforts, over $55,000 was raised to benefit the Alzheimer's Association, Southeastern Virginia Chapter. We thank Dave Woodard, owner of Peninsula Honda for graciously outfitting us with a car to raffle for the second year in a row.
If you didn't get a chance to buy a ticket this year, be on the lookout for the next raffle car. It will be coming to a 2011 Memory Walk near you.
