YAAA! or Young Adults for Alzheimer's Awareness! is the young professionals group of the Alzheimer's Association Southeastern Virginia Chapter.
Mission: To build awareness in the local community about Alzheimer's disease, raise funds to support the care of those affected, and to support the advancement of research towards a cure. Of course, we're all about having fun, too! Members are 21 - 45+ (but if you're older, that's okay!). Most have been personally affected by Alzheimer's through their families or friends. This is a different kind of support group...it's an action-oriented group of individuals who want to have fun and make new friends while helping a great cause.
|Meetings are held once a month (typically the second Tuesday of each month) in various locations across the Tidewater area to network and have fun! Join now to help plan our next fun event while helping a deserving cause. For more information about the group, please contact Brooke Floyd, Membership VP, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Or you can contact our office at 800.272.3900.|
