YAAA! or Young Adults for Alzheimer's Awareness! is the young professionals group of the Alzheimer's Association Southeastern Virginia Chapter. The mission is simple; to heighten awareness in the community about Alzheimer's disease, raise funds to support the care of those affected, and to support the advancement of research towards a cure. Of course, we're all about having fun too! Members are 21 - 45+ (but if you're older, that's okay!). Most have been personally affected by Alzheimer's through their families or friends. This is a different kind of support group...it's an action oriented group of individuals who want to have fun and make new friends while helping a great cause.
