September 2013 will be the 3rd Annual World Alzheimer's Month!

Each year we have a new national theme. More information to come in 2013!  If you have any questions, please email Kristy Wyngaarden, Communications Coordinator.

World Alzheimer's Month 2012

In honor of World Alzheimer's Month in 2012 we focused on ways to reduce and overcome stigma.

We were also lucky enough to have our Board President, Dave Stephens, and his friends Darren Gerlach and TJ Prieur, walk over 200 miles to D.C. in honor of Alzheimer's Action Day and to raise money for their walk teams. They encouraged politicians to vote for the President's proposal for an additional $100 million investment for Alzheimer's research, care, and support in 2013. See their journey here: https://www.facebook.com/100MillionWalk or http://100millionwalk.wordpress.com/

o Encourage everyone in your office/family/friends to wear purple on Alzheimer's Action Day (Septemeber 21) and email the picture of you all to us at infoseva@alz.org.
