Enroll your company in the Alzheimer's Workplace Alliance

You will be joining hundreds of companies and organizations committed to the Alzheimer's cause! Early detection of Alzheimer's is important for your employees as both individuals at risk and as caregivers for family members. Most people do not know when forgetting becomes a serious health problem. By putting off learning more, people impacted by Alzheimer's disease are being diagnosed too late and miss the opportunity to get the best help possible. Join now.

Participate in The Longest Day held in June, our new awareness month!

Held on the summer solstice, The Longest Day (June 21) is a sunrise-to-sunset team event honoring the strength, passion and endurance of those facing Alzheimer’s disease. Teams complete approximately 16 hours of activity to raise awareness and funds for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Run a half-marathon, organize a basketball tournament, plan a day of painting, or play an all-day game of cards. Anything you do will make an impact in the fight.  A great team-building event.

Workplace Campaigns

The Chapter is a proud member of Community Health Charities of Virginia. Show your support during your workplace giving campaign by choosing the Southeastern Virginia Chapter's agency code #6002 or code #13194 depending on the campaign. Or if you prefer to designate your gift to our national organization, look for the Alzheimer’s Association (code #11234) without the local chapter designation in the Combined Federal Campaign. By double-checking the name you are ensuring that your gift is being directed to exactly where you want it to go.

You can also support our chapter through your local United Way campaign! Many local United Ways support Donor Choice (write-in option) in their general workplace campaigns. All you have to do is simply write in: Alzheimer’s Association Southeastern Virginia Chapter. If you have any questions about Donor Choice, please call the chapter or your nearest United Way.
