Friendraisers
What are Friendraisers?? They are third party events organized by friends and supporters that benefit the Alzheimer's Association Southeastern Virginia Chapter. These individuals or groups have a personal connection to our cause through Walk to End Alzheimer's® or another effort and are looking to engage others to support their efforts. The awareness and funds raised through these events help the Alzheimer's Association move closer to a cure for Alzheimer's disease. If you are interested in hosting a Friendraiser of your own, contact our Development Manager, Jenn Crabtree, at 800.272.3900 or jenn.crabtree@alz.org.

5th Annual Virginia Asset Group PingPongforCHARITY™ Tournament
September 13 & 14The Alzheimer’s Association along with People in Need (PIN) Ministry, I Need a LightHouse and Vanguard Landing will be the beneficiaries of the 5th Annual Virginia Asset Group PingPongforCHARITY™ Tournament on Saturday, September 13 & 14 at the Virginia Beach Field House. The event was originally created to benefit the work of PIN Ministry, which helps the homeless in our community. As a result of the continual growth of the event and the medical/therapeutic benefits associated with sport, the Table Tennis Charity Foundation (501 c3 non-profit) was created to expand support to also help those with Alzheimer’s, depression and mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. Over the past four years, the event has generated over $153,000 to help those in our community. Nearly 200 people play in the event – representing all skill levels and ranging in ages from 8 to 78. Additionally, celebrity guest entertainment has included the Ping Pong Man, Scott Preiss and internationally known Wally Green, along with silent auctions, food and giveaways. So if you enjoy having fun and doing good, mark your calendar for Friday, September 13 for the Celebrity SLAMFEST Party with The DeLoreans,
Auction and Ponging Show – tickets are only $35.00, if you get them before July 30! And Saturday, September 14, for only $18 per person, per event, you can register to play in the Amateur Tournament. Registration for the Saturday tournament begins mid-July. Both events take place at the Virginia Beach Field House. We hope you'll consider being a part of leading our community in the fight against Alzheimer's! Together we can make a difference!
