The "Backwards ABCs" are three topics of utmost importance to quality of life for the diagnosed person and the family caregiver: communication, behaviors and activities. These topics are addressed in reverse alphabetical order, each session building on learning from the previous one. All sessions will be held on Fridays at Churchland Library, 4934 High Street, Portsmouth. Classes are FREE but you must pre-register by the Wednesday before by calling Sherry Warren at 800.272.3900 or email sherry.warren@alz.org. Classes without at least 12 registrants will be cancelled. If you or someone you know is affected by Alzheimer's disease or dementia, the time for financial planning is now. Financial Planning for Alzheimer's disease is a workshop, presented by the Alzheimer's Association, for anyone who would like to know more about what inancial issues to consider and how to put plans in place. Program takes 2 hours. Please arrive at 5:45 p.m. Bring a bag dinner.

Join us for a day-long educational event featuring a fun and informative Alzheimer's immersion titled, "3 Old People on a Bench", a research update from EVMS, and more. This conference will take place at the Paul D. Camp Community College, Workforce Development Center in Franklin, VA.
