Thelma Sias knows what it takes to succeed.  Since 2003 she has served as Vice President of Local Affairs at We Energies, in addition to serving as a board member of the Wisconsin Energy Foundation. She is also on the board of Children’s Hospital Foundation, Milwaukee Public Library Foundation, and Community Advocates.  She has received a multitude of awards such as the Business Journal of Milwaukee’s Women of Influence Award and McDonald’s 365Black Award.

Thelma’s connection to Alzheimer’s disease is through both her aunt and mother-in-law.  Her passion to put an end to this devastating disease grew from her personal experiences with these two strong women. As an Alzheimer’s Champion, Thelma is converting her energy from the corporate world to making a difference for those living with Alzheimer’s.

Motivational Statement

“It’s not just the person suffering from Alzheimer’s disease who needs support, but the entire family.  Once a loved one is diagnosed, it’s incredibly important for the family to establish a support system.  They must be surrounded by people who can ensure they receive the support, love and care they need to endure this devastating disease.”
