Title: Dementia Specialist Training
Description: This 15-hour program is for direct care staff (nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, supervisors, administrators, therapists, etc.). It is a two day, highly interactive program that teaches the skills necessary for successfully interacting with people who have dementia. The training is fun, interesting and innovative. Role plays, case studies and experiential exercises are used throughout. A certificate of completion will be provided at the end of training.

Cost: $100. We are able to offer staff from skilled nursing facilities or nursing homes a discount which means they would pay $25 per person for the entire program. The scholarship applies ONLY to staff that work within a nursing home or within a skilled nursing facility. Space and scholarships are limited. Please, no more than 3 scholarships per facility.

If so, this open forum session will give you an opportunity to get your questions answered and discover how the Alzheimer's Association can help. Rather than a formal presentation, this program focuses on the questions you need answered.
