Start a Team

Forming a team for the Walk to End Alzheimer's can multiply your impact on the fight against Alzheimer's. Together, as a team, you are a force much greater than what you can accomplish alone.

What makes up a team? - family members, co-workers, neighbors, or friends - who together raise funds and bring their collective enthusiasm to the Walk. Walkers that raise $100 in pledges are entitled to a "Walk to End Alzheimer's" t-shirt.

Team leaders should register online (by clicking on the desired Walk location above) or by calling Alzheimer's Assocation office at 414.479.8800.

Walk to End Alzheimer's Fundraising Tools

You can also set up a personal web page and chart your fundraising progress. Go to our Fundraising Tools page for lots of ideas on how to get started.

The attached "Tips for Fundraising Success" outlines some easy ways to raise $500 and more in 10 weeks/days or 5 weeks/days.

Volunteer for a Walk to End Alzheimer's

Each of the six Walks depends on the volunteer efforts of a local steering committee to plan and cordinate numerous details, such as team and walker recruitment; entertainment; food and beverages, prizes, registration, logistics, and publicity. There is a place and a role for everyone who would like to get involved. If you can't commit to a long-term assignment, there are many one-time tasks, such as distributing Walk brochures or working at a water stop on the day of the Walk. Let us know how you'd like to help by calling Christina Taddy at the chapter office: 414.479.8800 or ctaddy@alz.org.
