Many Thanks to the 2010Dementia Care Conference Benefactors and Supporters

The purpose of the Conference is to give both professional and family caregivers the tools to provide the best most responsive care to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or a related memory loss disorder. Over 68,000 Iowans are currently diagnosed and living with Alzheimer’s disease. The Siouxland area is home to approximately 12,000 afflicted people. Over 75% of these individuals live at home where they are cared for by family members with little to no outside help. Nursing homes and assisted living facilities face many growing challenges. More than 50 % of their populations are living with some form of dementia.
