If you would prefer not to donate online, you can do so either by phone (call us at 800.272.3900) or through the mail. MasterCard, Visa and American Express are accepted. You can support the Chapter's programs and services in a variety of ways.
Direct contributions are tax-deductible and can be designated for general operating support, for Alzheimer research, or for specific programs and services. By naming the Big Sioux Chapter in your donation for Alzheimer research, the Chapter qualifies for operational credit from the national Alzheimer's Association.
Memorials and honoraria are a way for family or friends to celebrate the memory of loved ones, or to honor those marking a special occasion. Acknowledgements for memorials and honoraria are made both to the contributor and to designated individuals; these individuals are also listed in the Chapter's quarterly newsletter.
For more information contact Kim McCormick, Executive Director, at our office.
Employee giving programs
Employee giving programs can help contribute to the Chapter's mission and services by designating a fixed amount to be deducted from each paycheck. If your place of business doesn't have an employee giving program, we can help you design one. If you do have such a program, please consider the Big Sioux Chapter as your designated charity. Many companies also have matching gift programs that can help maximize the value of their employees' gifts.
If your workplace participates in the United Way of Siouxland campaign, you can designate your pledge to the Alzheimer’s Association through United Way’s Donor Choice Program. Simply follow the instructions on your pledge card, or write in our name and address.
Federal employees can donate to the Alzheimer’s Association through the Siouxland Area Combined Federal Campaign (CFC
0310).
Event sponsorships
Your business or organization can receive recognition and visibility by sponsoring a special event of the Chapter, either in whole or in part.
- The Wine and Roses Festival: a gala multi-event benefit usually held in early spring (late March or early April).
- The Siouxland Senior Open: a benefit tournament for golfers 50 and over, in mid-May.
- The Education Conference, an event for professional and family caregivers held every August.
- Memory Walk: held in communities across Siouxland during the summer and fall, providing an excellent opportunity for individual or team participation.
