Graphic Design Internship
The Graphic Design Intern position is designed to provide support for the Communications Coordinator as well a well-rounded and practical hands-on educational experience for the student. The internship can be done for university credit (through career services) or for resume experience, and is unpaid.
Responsibilities:
• Complete volunteer application, confidentiality policy, and other paperwork as required by the Alzheimer's Association
• Create flyers, brochures, posters; help with the newsletter, and numerous other graphic design projects. Work with staff in all departments to meet a variety of graphic design needs.
Qualifications:
• Student in the field of graphics
• Knowledgeable in Adobe PageMaker, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Reader
• Good people and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn and try new things
• Ability to work with a supervisor and share projects
• Professionalism
• Self-starter or self-motivated
• Able to work independently in a busy environment
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Understanding of the Chapter’s mission and programs
• Full understanding and compliance with confidentiality policy
• Completion of Volunteer Basic Training within 90 days of start date
Time Commitment: Hours are flexible and negotiable. Minimum of one semester commitment required.

Resumes may be submitted at any time, but preference is given to materials received before the following dates:
Fall Internship – September 15
Spring Internship – January 15
Summer Internship – May 15
