St. Louis Alzheimer's Association - Job Description Outreach Department Outreach Internship The Outreach Intern position is designed to provide support for the Outreach Director and Outreach Department. The Outreach Intern provides opportunity to work closely with professional staff, off-site volunteers, and under-served communities in the Association’s chapter territory. The experience is designed to provide a well-rounded and practical hands-on educational experience for the student. The Outreach Intern reports to the Outreach Director. Responsibilities: • Complete volunteer application, confidentiality policy, and other paperwork as required by the Alzheimer's Association. • Provide support for education programs (draft agendas, evaluation and pack materials to be distributed at programs) • Tally evaluations for programs • Promote education programs • Help coordinate large events such as Memory Walk or speaking engagements • Complete other delegated tasks and responsibilities. • Distribute/circulate library resources (i.e. brochures, books, videos) Qualifications: • Computer skills • Knowledge of needs of Alzheimer’s individuals and families (training provided) • Attend Chapter Volunteer Orientation session within 90 days of starting date • Understanding of the Chapter’s mission and programs • Full understanding and compliance with confidentiality policy • Completion of Volunteer Basic Training within 90 days of start date Time Commitment: Hours are flexible and negotiable.
