The Accounting and Finance Intern will assist the Director of Finance and Technology.  The experience is designed to provide a well-rounded and practical hands-on educational experience for the student.  The internship can be done for university credit (through career services) or for resume experience, and is unpaid.  Note:  This internship is best suited for a second semester junior or any senior who has completed much of his/her accounting and finance coursework.

The Accounting and Finance Intern will report to the Director of Finance and Technology.

Responsibilities:
• Complete volunteer application, confidentiality policy, and other paperwork as required by the Alzheimer's Association.
• Help conceptualize assorted finance and accounting procedures that affect the association
• Work with Director on research opportunities and staff education on accounting practices and guidelines
• Assist with deposits
• Filing
• Copying
• Process credit card donations for approval
• Other duties as assigned within scope of finance and accounting.

Qualifications:
• Organized.
• Ability to work closely with others.
• Computer literate.
• Good with numbers.
• Detail oriented.
• Typing skills.
• Understanding of the Chapter’s mission and programs
• Full understanding and compliance with confidentiality policy
• Completion of Volunteer Basic Training within 90 days of start date

Time Commitment:  Hours are flexible and negotiable.  Minimum of one semester commitment required.
