Wednesday, July 28, 2010 Cost: $15 per person The Alzheimer’s Association would like to invite people with memory loss and their family members to join us for a tour of the Saint Louis Art Museum on Wednesday, July 28, at 10 a.m. This event is designed to be mentally stimulating, socially engaging, and fun—all of which are recommended for promoting optimal brain health! A portion of the proceeds will support Memory Walk, the Alzheimer’s Association fundraising event that we hope will someday lead to a world without dementia. At 9:30 a.m., we will meet at the Alzheimer’s Association, St. Louis Chapter office, and carpool to the St. Louis Art Museum (or you could arrange to meet us there at 10 a.m.). Small tour groups will be arranged by JoAnn Sanditz, who is both an Alzheimer’s Association volunteer and a Saint Louis Art Museum docent. The museum is handicap accessible and wheelchairs are available. Following the tour, we will head back to the Chapter office for a luncheon catered by Great Harvest Bread Company. The lunch will include a sandwich, chips, and a cookie. Sandwich options are: turkey, roast beef, chicken salad, tuna salad, or veggie. The cost is $15 per person. We look forward to enjoying a morning at the museum with you and your family.
