Alzheimer’s Association, St. Louis Chapter
Announces Carroll Rodriguez as
New Chief Operating Officer

The Alzheimer’s Association, St. Louis Chapter is proud to announce Carroll Rodriguez, director of public policy and communications, as its new chief operating officer. Her role and primary objective will be to provide leadership, management and vision to all of the Chapter’s programs and services.

“It is an honor to be able to serve individuals with Alzheimer’s and their families in this way,” Rodriguez said. “I hope to build upon existing programs and resources to enhance our reach in order to meet the burgeoning needs of the caregivers and persons with Alzheimer’s disease.”

Rodriguez has been with the St. Louis Chapter since 1993, directing overall operations for the public policy and communications departments and directing state public policy activities for the Missouri Coalition of Alzheimer’s Association Chapters. She was appointed by the governor to the Alzheimer’s State Plan Task Force in 2009, is on the board of directors of the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program St. Louis, and served as an advisory board member to the Alzheimer’s Disease & Related Disorders Research Program.

“Carroll has shown outstanding service, engagement and dedication to creating a world without Alzheimer’s disease over the years,” said Stacy Tew-Lovasz, president of the Alzheimer’s Association, St. Louis Chapter. “We face unprecedented challenges and opportunities over the next ten years, and Carroll is the perfect candidate to help us position ourselves to accept and meet those challenges.”

Rodriguez won the 2008 Advocacy Award from the Missouri Coalition of Alzheimer’s Association Chapters and was a St. Louis Chapter of OWL Women of Worth in 2003. She was also nominated as a Health Care Hero in 2005 by the St. Louis Business Journal.

Rodriguez received her Bachelor of Science in from the School of Social Work at Florida State University in 1974.
