This program has been developed to establish dementia training requirements for those caring for people with Alzheimer's disease and other related disorders. It is designed for healthcare workers employed by skilled nursing facilities, in-home care agencies and hospice agencies involved in the delivery of care to persons with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders.

Activity Based Alzheimer's Care

The objectives of this program are: Learning the fundamental components of Activity based Alzheimer's care, effectively examine assessment and care planning, learn to adapt activities and the environment to better meet individual's needs. Identify and implement the various aspects of teamwork. NCCAP accreditation approved.
