Houston AWARE is a fundraising auxiliary of the Alzheimer's Association Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter with more than 350 members. Founded in March 2000, Houston AWARE's special projects sustain vital services for families affected by Alzheimer's disease including Education, Care Consultation, and HELPline. Houston AWARE supports these projects through membership dues, donations and memorials, and the annual Family Portrait Luncheon.

Purpose

  • To support the Alzheimer's Association as a friend-raising auxiliary
  • To give support and guidance to individuals with Alzheimer's, their families and caregivers
  • To provide leadership to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of innovative research, education and public awareness
