Alzheimer’s Association in the news
Letter from the Chair:
| After just returning from the annual meeting in Chicago, I can share the good news of an organization on the move, caring and curing. More than ever, we're positioned to help. More than ever, we are closing in on ending this disease.
Not that long ago, Alzheimer's Association chapters struggled alone. Now, we trust and are trusted by a national organization working hand in hand with us. Our national strategic plan’s core values are the standards that drive our priorities, commitments and organizational decisions. Commitment to excellence, inclusiveness, staying focused on the needs of individuals with dementia, their families and caregivers, and accountability guides our behaviors and judgments. With the Baby Boomers coming into the age of highest risk it is imperative that we do all we can to find treatment and a cure for this disease. We need your help to provide support to those with the disease and to fund research to keep this disease from reaching near epidemic proportions. Please allow me this chance to thank you all for all you do, thank you for the care you give your friends and family, for your fight against Alzheimer's and dementia, and for your advancement of this association.
