Use the power of five to celebrate World Alzheimer's Day this year. That's 5 million Champions helping to make a difference for the 5 million Americans living with Alzheimer's and the many millions of lives it affects around the world. Make a difference- help us make strides in research, care and support by becoming an Alzheimer Champion; make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association; or host your own fundraising event.
Events to host at work, within your family or in your community-
• We need 5 million Champions — one for each person living with Alzheimer's disease — to support our cause and spread awareness. Sign up to be a Champion today at www.actionalz.org.
• Host a do-it-yourself event during the month of September to benefit the Alzheimer's Association. You can host a party, a golf tournament or a Tailgate to Tackle Alzheimer's.
• Go Casual for a Cause in your workplace on Sept. 21. Dress down or wear jeans in exchange for a small donation (usually $5) to the Alzheimer’s Association. Display your commitment to the cause by wearing our symbol. Click here to order your kit, complete with symbol stickers, today.
• "Go Purple" in your workplace — deck out the cafeteria in purple, use a purple font in e-mails, or dress in purple for Casual for a Cause.
• Multiply the power of five by forwarding this message to five friends. It only takes a moment to make an impact in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.
