Volunteers Help Us Help Others
The Alzheimer’s Association counts on 35,000 volunteers nationwide to help fulfill our mission. Please consider joining us to help support the individuals, families and caregivers in Utah and Eastern Idaho who are affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
Now is a great time to volunteer at the Association and we provide the training!
Whether you have one hour to spend with us or a few hours each week, we can find the right fit for your interest and skills. Volunteer opportunities are available at our office and in some cases you can volunteer from the comfort of your own home computer.
We currently have the following volunteer opportunities available:
You’ll conduct presentations to organizations like the Chamber, the Rotary, Lions Club, churches and other places of worship, or serve as our representative at the Alzheimer’s exhibit for health fairs and conferences.
You’ll help with gathering materials, serving as the host for an event, set up and registration.
Special Event Support
You’ll help coordinate, decorate, assist with registration, greet guests, and set up for Reason to Hope breakfast, Walk to End Alzheimer’s (4 locations)and The Longest Day.
Support Group Facilitator
You’ll coordinate and facilitate groups of caregivers coping with Alzheimer’s disease. Often the groups consist of family members and friends of someone who has the disease. Training will be provided.
There are many other volunteer opportunities with the Alzheimer’s Association. If you have a specific skill such as data entry, graphic design or are bilingual, we will work with you to determine the best volunteer position within our organization.
