There are over 40,000 Alzheimer’s disease recipients in the state of Utah.  Our goal at the Utah Chapter is to provide education, support, information and referrals to those touched by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, but we need you.

To help us reach our goal, please consider one of the following opportunities:

Cash & Securities
For those wishing to provide direct support for the Utah Chapter, donations of cash or appreciated securities are ideal methods of gifting.  Your generosity can bring immediate relief to caregivers and families.

Your gifts may be unrestricted, or earmarked for a specific use or program in Utah.  Just include a letter detailing how you would like your gift used, along with your check, and send to the Alzheimer’s Association Utah Chapter, 855 East 4800 South, Suite 100, SLC UT 84107.
Contributions may also be made by credit card by calling our finance office at 801-265-1944 extension 511.

Stocks and securities are an excellent way to support the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission while levering personal assets.  You can make a gift of appreciated stock or property and avoid the capital gains tax while receiving a charitable tax deduction.

Planned Giving
Planned giving provides an important way to leave a legacy for your family and provide critical support to charitable organizations dear to your heart.
If you already have an Estate Plan in place, or as you decide which type of Estate Plan is most beneficial in fulfilling your needs and those of your family, please consider the impact you can make on the lives of seniors and their caregivers in your community.

Tributes and Memorials
The life of each person who has been touched by a spouse, father, mother, friend, or neighbor who has Alzheimer’s is never the same.  Each person is motivated in different ways to help eliminate this disease and help ease the burden of caregivers.  Some host events and donate the proceeds in the form of a tribute in honor of their loved one which could be earmarked for a specific purpose. Many encourage friends and family members to support the Alzheimer’s Association with gifts in lieu of flowers upon the death of their loved ones.

Workplace Giving
Workplace giving is a simple and effective way for employees to support the Alzheimer’s Association mission.  No matter how small your contribution, your dollars add up to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
The Alzheimer’s Association Utah Chapter is a member of Community Health Charities, the largest workplace giving campaign devoted to health.  If your employer participates in Community Health Charities campaigns, designate your contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Corporate Giving Campaigns
Support the Alzheimer’s Association through your company’s annual corporate giving campaign.  It is a convenient way to give your contribution through regular payroll deductions.

If you have any questions about planned giving or estate planning, please contact Wynne Smith at 801-265-1944 extension 507 or wynne.smith@alz.org
