Being a caregiver doesn't come with an instruction manual, but there are resources available to help. Use the trainings, workshops and free online care training on this page to gain caregiving skills and practical advice.


The Alzheimer’s Association Utah Chapter offers several E-learning Courses for families and other community members facing Alzheimer’s and other dementias.  Most of these are free of charge.  Click here to see our list of courses.  We also offer educational presentations in communities throughout the state of Utah and Eastern Idaho.  If you are interested in having the Alzheimer's Association make a presentation to your organization, church or company please contact us at 801.265.1944.

The book, Chicken Soup for the Soul- Living with Alzheimer's and other Dementias is now available through the Utah Chapter. The cost is $15 per book. If you are interested in picking up a copy, please visit our office located at 855 East 4800 South, Ste 100 SLC, UT or call us at 801.265.1944.

Online care training and essentiALZ certification 
This online program offers individual training in dementia care, from HealthCare Interactive, Inc., as well as individual certification by the Alzheimer's Association to recognize those who complete the program and demonstrate knowledge of quality dementia care practices. Both family members and professional care providers can benefit.
