MAY is Making Sense of Alzheimer's Month.  The Alzheimer's Association, in collaboration with the Utah Symphony | Utah Opera, is pleased to announce dates available for a series of performances throughout May 2013.  We know that Alzheimer's Disease and  Related Dementias affect people's cognitive abilities, but not their senses.  In fact, the joy of seeing and hearing professional musicians perform has a positive effect on functionality and often encourages reminiscence, conversations and enduring connections otherwise forfeited.  Our hope is to provide a specal evening or day out for care recipients, their friends and their families.

Special rates are available to friends and family members of Alzheimer's and other Dementia care recipients; a complimentary ticket is available to care recipients

  • May 13th & 14th | 7:30 PM | Rossini's "Barber of Seville" by the Utah Opera
  • May 24th | 10:00 AM | Rehearsal with Dvorak & Brahms by Utah Symphony
