THANK YOU for supporting the
Walk to End Alzheimer's
in six communities!
We're delighted to report our 2015 Walks raised a half million dollars for the Chapter, so we can continue to provide vital programs, including education, care consultations and support groups across eight counties for the 220,000 people who are currently directly impacted by dementia. That number is expected to continue to grow, tripling over the next few decades! Your donations also allow the Alzheimer's Association to continue to be the largest funder of research aimed at ENDING this disease.
We're already planning Walk for 2016--so be sure to check back in January to Save the Date!
The Longest Day
We've set aside the longest day of the year, June 21, to honor the strength of all those facing Alzheimer's with a fundraising and awareness event you can organize with friends and families. From sunrise to sunset, you are encouraged to do something you love--gardening, walking, reading, cooking, biking, hiking, etc--to honor someone you love! You can organize your event like a relay and 'hand off' the challenge very hour, or every few hours, or however you want to handle it.

Blondes vs. Brunettes
Young professional women from our community hit the turf
for a flag football game that aims to raise funds and awareness of Alzheimer's disease and the Alzheimer's Association WNY Chapter. There are so many ways to get involved with BvB and their event - volunteer, play, coach, cheer from the sidelines!

Every November, Chapter staff welcome the public to our Annual Meeting. We thank retiring board members for their service, recognize those continuing to serve, and welcome new board members. It's also an opportunity to celebrate outstanding volunteers and supporters who've made an impact on our mission.
