Support Groups in WNY
Text Size controls Normal font sizeMedium font sizeLarge font size PrintEmail

We have many support groups, at various times and locations. There is no support group attendance requirement, so come only once or every single time the group meets. Caregiver support groups provide caregivers with an opportunity to share support, information and resources with each other in a confidential environment. If you have any questions regarding support groups, call us at 1.800.272.3900.

Click here for a list of our current support groups. The list is broken down by specialty groups and counties. Please be sure to contact the group facilitator prior to attending your first support group. Groups times and locations can change frequently.

Grief Group
Every year, we offer a special six-week Coping with the Loss of a Loved One support group. This specialized Alzheimer’s Association support group focuses on the changes that individuals experience after the death of a loved one, helps to foster positive memories and provides an atmosphere of mutual support, understanding and confidentiality. The group will run every Thursday beginning on February 23 and running through March 29 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the chapter office. Please register by calling the chapter at 626.0600 or e-mailing program.wny@alz.org. Download the grief group flyer here for additional details.
