Alzheimer's Care With Dignity, Now Available!

June 5, 2007

CHARLESTON - Frank Fuerst, of Harper's Ferry, West Virginia, spent seventeen years caring for his wife June as she went through the stages of Alzheimer's disease. Throughout those seventeen years, he kept journals and notes, detailing not only his thoughts and emotions, but best practices he discovered for coping with the difficult, everyday activities such as meals, bathing and doctor visits.

Frank has compiled all of these best practices into a new book, Alzheimer's Care With Dignity, a resource guide for caregivers dealing with a loved one suffering from Alzheimer's disease. The book is a practical guide to caregiving, full of lessons learned along his journey dealing with the disease that are not covered in other resource guides. He shares sincere, heartfelt emotions that other caregivers can identify with.

Frank Fuerst will autograph copies of his book Alzheimer's Care With Dignity at the Family Christian Store, in the Town Center Mall, June 9 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Copies of Alzheimer's Care With Dignity, will also be available at the Alzheimer's Association, WV Chapter's three branches. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each book will benefit the Alzheimer's Association, West Virginia Chapter. For your copy call 1.800.491.2717 or email laurel.kirksey@alz.org.
