Online Dementia Care Training

Alzheimer's Disease: The Basics for Best Care

This training course will meet the required West Virginia OHFLAC guidelines for two hour training for Assisted Living/Long Term Care staff. This training is only valid for one year. This course is designated for anyone who works or gives care to an individual with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia. It is particularly designed for nurses, social workers, CNA's and other staff in long term care facilities or physician office staff. CEU's are also available. Certificate of Completion
To receive a certificate of completion as proof of receiving the WV OHFLAC required training, you must take the post-test at the end of the curriculum. You must answer all 20 questions correctly in order to receive a certificate of completion and there is a $15 fee for each certificate of completion. The certificate is only valid for 12 months from date of completion. The fee may be paid either by credit card or a check made out to the Alzheimer's Association, West Virginia Chapter and the payment form at the end of this document must be used. Payment must be received before the certificate of completion will be given.

Continuing Education Units:
The Alzheimer's Association is partnering with The CAMC Health Education and Research Institute to provide professional CEUs for nurses and social workers. There is a $5 fee to receive CEU credit. The fee may be paid by credit card or check made out to the Alzheimer's Association, WV Chapter. The payment form at the end of this document must be used. Payment must be received before the CEUs will be given.
