Set almost entirely in the small, historic logging town of Cass, WV, Angel’s Perch is an independent feature film project examining the delicate relationship between past and present, memory and loss as depicted through the connection between a man and his grandmother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, and the choices he must make. Scrappy Cat Productions is producing the film for theatrical release, and the Alzheimer’s Association, West Virginia Chapter is acting as technical advisor and fiscal sponsor. The goal of the project is not only to produce a quality film but to develop a tool for enhancing public awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and the support services available to families through the Alzheimer’s Association.
