Who We Are
The Zenith Society is a group of passionate and dedicated donors
representing the highest level of giving at the Alzheimer's Association.
It convenes the Association's leading philanthropists, those giving
gifts of $1 million, to play an active and guiding role in deciding
which projects to fund with their collective resources.

Jerome H. Stone, former chairman and chief executive officer and honorary chairman of Stone Container Corporation, which has since merged and is now Smurfit-Stone Corp, and founder and honorary chairman of the Association, established the Zenith program in 1990 to bring together individuals from around the country who had been touched deeply by Alzheimer's, and who had the means to significantly advance efforts to eliminate the disease. |
Today, the by-invitation Zenith Society harnesses the collective power and influence of private citizens and organizations nationwide to partner with the Alzheimer's Association, investing in strategic ways to change the course of Alzheimer's and better serve those facing the disease.
Building and growing the Zenith Society
Now is an exciting time for the Zenith Society, which has given
more than $40 million in grants to some of the field's most eminent
scientists.
A number of groundbreaking scientific discoveries have come from Zenith grant recipients, and the Society will continue to fund only the highest-quality and most promising studies for achieving breakthroughs in prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
Zenith members also recognize the importance of enhancing Alzheimer care and support and advocating for the millions of individuals and families that are affected by Alzheimer’s disease. As a result, they are expanding their efforts into care and public policy projects.
