There are two major airports in the Chicago region: O’Hare International Airport (airport code: ORD) and Midway International Airport (airport code: MDW). These airports offer multiple U.S. and international flights daily.

Airline Booking

United Airlines is the official airline of AAIC 2018. The United Airlines discount for AAIC 2018 can be used when booking online at only. Hotel room blocks have been secured at a discounted rate for AAIC attendees. Upon completing registration, attendees will be directed to AAIC's housing website to book their room. OnPeak is the official housing partner for AAIC.

Ground Transportation

More than 5,800 city taxis are at your service in Chicago. Chicago O’Hare International Airport is located 17 miles from downtown, and the average taxi fare is approximately $40-50 one way. Midway International Airport is located 10 miles from downtown, and the average taxi fare is $30-40 one way. Credit cards are accepted in all taxi cabs by city mandate. You may also use Uber or Lyft to pick up/drop off at both airports. At O'Hare Airport, drivers will make domestic pick-ups on the departures level at Terminals 1, 2 and 3, while all international pick-ups will be available on the arrivals level. At Midway Airport, drivers will make pick-ups on the departures level at the designated ‘rideshare’ area.

Public Transportation

Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) operates the nation’s second-largest public transportation system, serving the city and its 40 neighboring communities by rail and bus. Pay cash for single-trip rides or purchase a reloadable Ventra Transit Card or Unlimited Ride Pass for added savings. For full fare information, visit the CTA website. "L": The Chicago "L" (short for "elevated") is the rapid transit system serving the city of Chicago. You can take the "L" to/from O'Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport via these lines:

Parking at McCormick Place

The main parking lot for McCormick Place-West Building is Parking Lot A. The address is: 2301 S. Prairie Ave., Chicago, IL 60616. Prices are $23.00 for up to 16 hours and $36.00 for between 16-24 hours. No in-and-out privileges are available. For more information, call 312.567.8360.
