NIA-AA Symposium: IMPACT Embedded Pragmatic Clinical Trials for the Improvement of Care for People Living with Dementia and their Care Partners
Overview
This symposium is designed to share key considerations in the design and conduct of embedded pragmatic clinical trials (ePCTs) for persons living with dementia. The purpose of this workshop is to:
- Train investigators in the design and conduct of embedded pragmatic clinical trials to improve care for persons living with dementia (PLWD) and their care-partners.
- Highlight the importance of engaging stakeholders to identify priorities for improving care for persons living with dementia and their care-partners.
- Provide investigators with guidance on design, regulation and ethical considerations for ePCTs for PLWD and their care-partners.
- Pilot the educational materials and collect feedback on their quality and appropriateness from both the attendees and the subject matter experts.
Target Audience
Any investigator or member of the research community who is interested in learning more about ePCTs and building partnerships with stakeholders to support their research focused on PLWD and their care-partners.
